Rotate your songs at shows as much as possible. You can overplay them. To avoid this write lots of songs. Record and sell an album asap. The income boost is huge in the early goings.

First off, great game etc. Looking forward to more updates in the future.How come I can never hear my own songs playing in-game even though i have it set to 'user only' in the audio settings?Also where are my song files saved?Finally, a suggestion.
Is it possible to make it so that you can load a previously written song then 'save as' another song. This way I can write like 3 songs and just keep using them again and again in different song titles as my songwriting gets better. I really enjoy the songwriting aspect of the game but it would be impossible to spend all that time writng every song yourself.Will cut and paste on the timeline be a feature soon? Setting up user music:Scroll to the bottom of the news post I linked above.You can technically 'save as' if you just rename the song file in the folders with the name of the new song you've written (don't even have to open the song editor ingame to do that). But when you delete a song or sell it, I'm pretty sure it deletes the song writing files associated with it, so fi you really like a song you've written, back it up somewhere.
We plan on getting Steam Workshop support for song writing so you can eternally use the same songs if you wish.It is unlikely that there will ever be a cut and paste feature for song creation. It wouldn't be impossible to implement but it would take an absurd amount of time to code at the moment, and we have a lot of other higher priority plans.
