Let's Play #71 - Super Mario Maker 2 is a side-scrolling platform game and game creation system developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch home video game console. Like its predecessor, Super Mario Maker 2 is a side-scrolling platform video game in which players create their own courses using assets from across the Super Mario series and publish them onto the internet for others to play.
Players can choose from a selection of prior Super Mario games to base their course's visual style and gameplay on, including Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros.
U, and a newly introduced Super Mario 3D World theme. Gameplay mechanics and enemy behaviours can vary between the styles, with some elements being limited to specific styles. Let's Play #70 - Cadence of Hyrule combines the rhythm-based gameplay of Crypt of the NecroDancer with settings, characters, and music from The Legend of Zelda series.
Players play the majority of the game as either Link or Princess Zelda, with other characters such as NecroDancer protagonist Cadence becoming unlocked by progressing through the game or completing certain quests, each with their own unique abilities. Players venture across the overworld, composed of predefined regions and map layouts related to Zelda lore such as Hyrule Castle or Death Mountain, but whose relative placement is procedurally generated for each new save file.
This map remains the same throughout the entire game, but certain dungeons such as those found in temples will be randomly generated every time they are visited. Whenever enemies are in an area, the player is required to move and attack in time to the music using the directional buttons, with bonus multipliers and extra rewards available for maintaining the beat. Throughout the game, the player can find or purchase weapons and equipment, such as shovels for digging through dirt or torches that can reveal the contents of chests, as well as recurring Zelda items such as bows, bombs, and hookshots.Partially carrying over roguelike elements from NecroDancer, the player will lose amassed rupees and temporary items if they lose all of their health. Diamonds, which can be found in dungeons or earned by defeating every enemy in an area, are retained even if the player gets a game over. Players can activate Sheikah Stones in certain areas, which they can either fast travel to or respawn from following a death. The game features optional modes such as 'fixed-beat mode', which removes the need to play to the music, and permadeath mode, which challenges players to play through the campaign without dying once.
The game can also be played co-operatively with a second player on the same Switch unit with each player using one Joy-Con to move. Let's Play #69 - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a 2018 crossover fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Sora Ltd., and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is the fifth installment in the Super Smash Bros. Series, succeeding Super Smash Bros.
For Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The game follows the series' traditional style of gameplay: controlling one of various characters, players must use differing attacks to weaken their opponents and knock them out of an arena. It features a wide variety of game modes, including a campaign for single-player and multiplayer versus modes.
Ultimate includes every playable character from previous Super Smash Bros. Games—ranging from Nintendo's mascots to characters from third-party franchises—and several newcomers, having a total of over 70. Let's Play #68 - Kirby's Epic Yarn is the first Kirby game for the Wii.
Kirby's Epic Yarn bears a striking similarities to a commercial for Kirby's Adventure that had aired two decades earlier. The game's overall design is vastly different from Kirby's other appearances; the world takes on an appearance of a scrapbook of crafts materials, especially cloth and felt, and is populated by characters both friendly and not-so-friendly made out of yarn. All of the surfaces as well as Kirby and Prince Fluff's bodies are physics-enabled to great tactile effect; surfaces deform dynamically when trodden on, yarn outlines of characters and the Yarn Whip behave realistically, and movements and transformations are lively and fluid.
This game is also notable for its piano soundtrack. One other significant change from Kirby's previous appearances is that he has lost the ability to inhale, and all the abilities that go with it (including the ability to puff up and float), as air goes right through his new body. In its place, Kirby gains the use of the yarn whip, which is his main means of interaction with the game world. It can be used to unravel or wrap up enemies to be thrown, latch onto buttons, and pull on zippers, or otherwise manipulate the stage to remove walls or close gaps. Also, Kirby can now transform into several forms at will, and can access the Super Transformations via the use of a Metamortex.
Beads are hidden throughout the levels for players to collect, along with other hidden items concealed in Treasure Chests, with every level having three chests. The multiplayer feature allows a second player to control Prince Fluff, the prince of Patch Land, who is similar in appearance to Kirby. The entirety of the game's content can be accessed by playing with one or two players. Let's Play #66 - Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a tactical strategy game in which Mario teams up with his friends; Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi, along with four Rabbids dressed up like them, to battle against enemy Rabbids that hinder their progress. The main single-player campaign has players control a robot named Beep-O and lead a team of three heroes, including Mario, through four worlds split into multiple chapters, each composed of one or more battles. Along the way, the player can find alternate paths and solve puzzles on the game's overworld to locate hidden chests containing new weapons or bonus material such as 3D models and concept art.
As the player progresses through the game, Beep-O can learn new abilities such as pushing blocks and carrying statues to access previously inaccessible areas.Battles take place when the player reaches an enemy-inhabited territory. Okamiden 3ds. While most battles typically require the player to eliminate all or a certain number of enemies, some missions feature other objectives such as reaching a specific area or escorting another character.
In these turn-based battles, control alternates between the player's team of three heroes and the enemy team. During each turn, players can perform up to three actions with each of their available heroes; Movement, Attack, and Ability. In the movement phase, players move a cursor to direct a character to a place on the field within their movement range.
Characters can dash into enemies to deal extra damage, enter white pipes to reach other parts of the map, and leap off of each other to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Each hero can attack with their main weapon, which range from simple blasters to wide-spreading shotguns, or secondary weapons such as melee weapons or grenades. Certain weapons may trigger status effects, such as dealing extra damage with Bounce or Fire damage or inhibiting certain actions with Freeze or Honey attacks. The effectiveness of an attack varies depending on whether the target is shielded by the environment (for example, characters hiding behind a half-sized wall have a 50% chance of getting hit). Finally, Abilities are unique support effects, ranging from barriers that can lessen damage to overwatch attacks that can be triggered outside of an Attack command. Certain weapons and abilities have cooldowns, requiring players to wait a certain number of turns before they can be used again. Additionally, certain characters possess passive abilities that are unique to them.
For example, Peach can recover health upon landing from a team jump while Rabbid Luigi can absorb health from dashing into opponents.Players lose a battle when all of their heroes run out of health and are knocked out, or fail a level-specific objective. When the player clears a chapter, they receive coins and Skill Orbs, which can also be found by exploring the overworld, with greater rewards earned clearing battles within a certain number of turns with all characters intact. Coins can be spent on new weapons for each character, with more options becoming available as the player finds Weapon Chests. Skill Orbs can be used on each character's Skill Tree, granting them new unique abilities or increases to stats such as health and movement range.
After clearing a world, players can revisit them to take on additional challenge-based missions. Players can also unlock co-operative challenges, in which two players, each with a team of two heroes, must work together to clear objectives.
Additional weapons can be unlocked by scanning compatible Amiibo figures. Let's Play #65 - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is the third installment in the Mario & Luigi series and the second to be released on the Nintendo DS. In Bowser's Inside Story, Mario and Luigi will trek through Bowser's body after being engulfed by him and subsequently shrunk while under the control of Fawful.Bowser, on the other hand, will travel throughout the Mushroom Kingdom in order to reclaim his castle. Bowser's segments are open world while Mario and Luigi's parts are sidescrollers in a similar vein to Super Paper Mario. It was developed by AlphaDream and featured, for the first time in the series, Bowser as a playable character, with the babies from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time no longer present. Let's Play #62 - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a kart-racing game exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. It is the enhanced port (or reboot) version of Mario Kart 8 and was released worldwide on April 28, 2017.This game includes the Inklings as new playable characters along with three returning characters from previous games: Dry Bones, King Boo and Bowser Jr. In addition, the Shine Thief and Bob-omb Blast battle games from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Plot[edit]
Professional thieves Robert Taylor, Alan Siegel, and Stephen Foster are hired by the mafia to steal two Rembrandt paintings from a museum in exchange for an extremely valuable diamond. Foster brings his girlfriend, Valerie Carrera, along on the job. The team is able to get one of the paintings out, but the alarm is tripped in the process. Foster immediately flees in the getaway van with a shocked Valerie and the stolen painting, leaving Robert on the side of the road and Alan trapped inside the museum as the police close in. Robert manages to escape, but Alan is arrested.
Five years later, Robert visits Alan in prison and tells him about a plan to ruin Foster in revenge for abandoning them. Assisted by Valerie, Robert breaks Alan out of prison to join them on the job. The mafia refused to pay Foster for only one painting, and he has remained beholden to them until he delivers the second Rembrandt, currently housed in the Prague Museum of Art. Robert plans to steal the painting first, leaving Foster at the mercy of his employers. Robert, Alan, and Valerie board a luxury train in Prague, on which Foster is meeting his mafia contact to discuss the plan to rob the museum. The team copies Foster's intelligence on the museum and replaces the mafia's diamond with a fake. They are then forced to make a quick escape when Interpol agents board the train looking for Alan.
Foster's data indicates that he is planning to rob the museum in two weeks, forcing Robert's team to go after the painting first. Robert brings in three additional team members: hacker Bernie Stanton, demolitions expert Gary Willis, and close-combat specialist Martin Crane. Together, the six of them manage to break through the museum's security and escape with the painting. However, Foster intercepts the team during their getaway, holding them at gunpoint and stealing the painting before leaving them for the police. They are rescued by Nina Wilson, a sniper hired by Robert as insurance. The team regroups and Robert explains that he planned on Foster's interference and planted a tracking device on the painting so it could be followed to the location of the painting already in Foster's possession. This will enable the team to steal both paintings back, completely ruining Foster's reputation and forcing him into hiding from his own bosses.
The painting is tracked to a villa belonging to Foster, used as a front for transporting black market goods. Robert and Valerie enter the villa through the front door to meet with Foster and keep him busy. Meanwhile, the rest of the team infiltrates the villa's basement, steals the paintings, and plants enough explosives to destroy the building. As the team prepares to make their escape, the mafia figures out that their diamond has been stolen and sends men to attack the villa, believing that Foster is trying to rip them off. Most of the team escapes, but Robert is taken captive by Foster. With the explosives still counting down, Alan and Valerie re-enter the villa to save him. The two manage to rescue Robert, but Foster escapes. Robert gives chase and kills Foster in a gun battle before fleeing. The team watches the villa explode from afar. Robert explains that the mafia will likely want to cut a deal in exchange for the real diamond and the two paintings, and the team part ways.
Gameplay[edit]
The gameplay is similar to a role-playing game, in which the player can interchange between the three main characters to play with and team up to complete the missions given. All three characters' perspectives are shown on the screen at the same time, with the character that the player is currently controlling taking up most of the screen.
